Anmoore is a small town in Harrison County, West Virginia, United States. It is located where WV 58 and Interstate 79 meet. In 2020, about 514 people lived there.
The town's name comes from a nearby stream called Ann Moore Run.

Anmoore's History
Anmoore has an interesting history, starting many years ago.
Early Settlement
The first person to settle in this area was Andrew Cottrill in 1772.
Growth and Industry
In 1903, a large piece of land was bought to expand the nearby city of Clarksburg. A company called Grasselli Chemical decided to build a factory there. In May 1904, the chemical plant started working, hiring 50 people. Soon after, plans were made to build houses for the factory workers to rent. Many of these workers came from Asturias, a region in Spain.
Becoming a Town
In 1917, a post office was opened in the community, and it was officially named Anmoore. Later, in December 1950, Anmoore became an official town. Victor Gonzalez was chosen as its first mayor.
