Ann Wolfe (born January 17, 1971) is an American retired professional boxer, trainer, and actress. She is known as "Brown Sugar." Ann Wolfe held world boxing titles in three different weight classes at the same time. Many people consider her one of the greatest female boxers ever. She is also a member of the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame.

Ann Wolfe's Life Story
Ann Wolfe was born in Oberlin, Louisiana. She spent most of her childhood in Austin, Texas. In 1996, she moved back to Austin with her two daughters and one son. She met her first boxing trainer, 'Pops' Billingsley. He helped her learn to box. She had her first amateur fights with his guidance. Later, she started her professional boxing career.
Early Boxing Days
Ann Wolfe had a short amateur boxing career. She had 3 wins and 1 loss. She competed in the 1998 U.S. National Championships. She won two fights there. She beat Tami Hendrickson and then quickly stopped Shanie Keelean. In the semifinal, she lost to La'Kiea Coffen.
Becoming a Professional Boxer
Ann Wolfe started her professional career by winning her first fight. She beat Brenda Lee Bell. Her only loss came four fights later. She was knocked out by Valerie Mahfood. But Ann Wolfe would later get her revenge!
Ann Wolfe won her first world title, the IFBA Jr. Middleweight title. She beat Vienna Williams to get it. Then, she won the WIBA Light Middleweight title. She knocked out Gina Nicholas in that fight. She also won the vacant IFBA world Super Middleweight title. She did this by knocking out Marsha Valley. She fought Valley again for another title, the WIBC's version, and won by knockout.
Ann Wolfe later beat Valerie Mahfood, who had given her her only loss. She won the NABA World Super Middleweight Championship from Mahfood.
Famous Fight: Wolfe vs. Ward
On May 8, 2004, Ann Wolfe made history. She won her third world title at the same time. This matched a record set by the famous boxer Henry Armstrong. She won the IBA world Light Heavyweight championship. She knocked out the undefeated champion, Vonda Ward. Vonda Ward was a former college basketball star. The knockout happened very quickly, just over a minute into the first round. This fight was shown on TV. Commentators called it "the best knockout punch in women's boxing history."
Later Fights and Retirement
Ann Wolfe kept her title in a rematch with Marsha Valley. She won by knockout. In 2005, she defeated Monica Nunez and then beat Valerie Mahfood for a second time. Ann Wolfe's last fights were in 2006. She won both of them. After that, she retired from professional boxing.
In 2015, Ann Wolfe was honored for her amazing career. She was added to the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame.
Ann Wolfe as a Trainer
After retiring from fighting, Ann Wolfe became a boxing trainer. She has trained many boxers, both amateur and professional. One of her most famous students is the light-middleweight boxer James Kirkland. Her oldest daughter, Jennifer Fenn, also trained with her.

Ann Wolfe also became an actress! Director Patty Jenkins chose her for a role. Ann Wolfe played the Amazon warrior Artemis in the 2017 movie Wonder Woman.
