Annapolis is a small city in the southern part of Iron County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, about 250 people lived there.

History of Annapolis
Annapolis was started in 1871. People say it was named after Anna Allen, who was the wife of a railroad official. Another idea is that its name came from Annapolis, Maryland. The city has had a post office since 1871.
In 1925, a very strong storm called the Great Tri-State Tornado almost destroyed Annapolis. The town worked hard to rebuild after this event.
Geography of Annapolis
Annapolis is located where two Missouri roads, Route 49 and Route K, meet. It is between the towns of Sabula to the north and Vulcan to the southeast. A stream called Big Creek flows along the west side of the community.
The city covers a total area of about 0.37 square miles (0.96 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
