Early Life and Sports

When Anthony was only 10 months old, his family moved to Germany. This was because his dad was playing basketball there. Anthony learned to speak German very well by the time he was three years old. When it was time for him to start kindergarten, he moved back to the United States with his mom. His parents later separated, and his mom raised him.

High School Years

Anthony grew up in Coppell, Texas. He first went to Coppell High School. As a junior, he scored about 16 points per game. He also grabbed nearly 7 rebounds and made 3.5 assists per game. He was named to the second-team all-area for his basketball skills.

Anthony was also a talented football player at Coppell. He played as a wide receiver. Over two seasons, he caught 78 passes for 1,327 yards. He also scored 16 touchdowns.

Before his senior year, he moved to Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. He played in 15 games during that season. He averaged 13.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.

Choosing a College

Anthony was a highly sought-after player for college basketball. Many top colleges wanted him to play for them. He decided to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He also thought about playing professionally in the NBA G League instead of college.

Besides basketball, Anthony was also a top football recruit. He received scholarship offers from big schools like Texas, Baylor, and Arkansas for football.
