Anthony Schwartz (born September 5, 2000) is a professional American football player. He is known for his incredible speed, which makes him a talented wide receiver. A wide receiver is a player who runs down the field to catch passes from the quarterback.

Before playing in the NFL, Schwartz was also a world-class sprinter in track and field. During his high school years, he set a world record for his age group in the 100 meters race. He played college football for the Auburn Tigers.

High School Career

Schwartz grew up in Pembroke Pines, Florida. In high school, he was a star athlete in two different sports: track and football.

As a track athlete, Schwartz was one of the fastest teenagers in the world. On March 31, 2017, when he was just 16 years old, he ran the 100-meter dash in 10.15 seconds. This was a new World Youth Best, meaning no one under 18 had ever run that fast before. He held this record for over five years.

Representing the United States, he won a gold medal in the 4x100 meter relay at the 2017 Pan American U20 Championships. The next year, at the 2018 World U20 Championships, he won a silver medal in the 100-meter race and another gold medal in the 4x100 meter relay.

Star Football Player

Besides being a track star, Schwartz was also an amazing football player. His speed made him a huge threat on the field. Many top colleges wanted him to play for them.

On February 7, 2018, Schwartz decided to attend Auburn University. He signed up to play football and run track for the college's teams, the Auburn Tigers.

College Football Career

Schwartz played for Auburn from 2018 to 2020. He used his speed to become an important player for the team. In his first year, he even scored a touchdown in the 2018 Music City Bowl, a special post-season game.

Over his three years at Auburn, he caught 117 passes for a total of 1,433 yards and scored six touchdowns. He also proved to be a skilled runner, scoring seven touchdowns by running with the ball. After his successful college career, he decided to enter the NFL draft.

Cleveland Browns

In the 2021 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Schwartz in the third round. This was a big moment, as it meant he was officially a professional football player. He signed a four-year contract with the team.

During his first season in 2021, he played in 14 games. On December 25, 2021, he scored his first NFL touchdown in a game against the Green Bay Packers. In 2022, he played in 11 games before getting a concussion, which is a type of head injury. He was placed on injured reserve, which means he could not play for the rest of the season while he recovered.

The Browns released Schwartz in 2023.

Miami Dolphins

On November 13, 2023, the Miami Dolphins signed Schwartz to their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who practice with the team but don't usually play in games. They can be moved to the main team if needed.

In January 2024, he signed a new contract with the Dolphins. However, he was placed on injured reserve again in August 2024, before the season started.
