Antonius Cleveland (born February 2, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for CSKA Moscow in the VTB United League. Antonius also played college basketball for Southeast Missouri State University. He even played in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks.

Antonius Cleveland's Early Life
Antonius Cleveland was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the only child of his mother, Shonda Bowie. His mother worked two jobs to support them. She was a nutrition supervisor during the day. At night, she worked for FedEx.
Antonius started playing basketball in high school. He went to Overton High School for his first two years. Then, he moved to Germantown High School for his junior year. For his senior year, he attended Faith Baptist Christian Academy in Ludowici, Georgia.
College Basketball Journey
Antonius Cleveland played college basketball for Southeast Missouri State University. He played there for four seasons. He was the top scorer for his team in his junior and senior years. In his junior year, he scored 15.2 points per game. He also got 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
In his senior year, he scored even more, averaging 16.6 points per game. He was also great at stealing the ball. In 2017, he was chosen for the All-Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) first-team. This showed he was one of the best players in the conference.
Antonius Cleveland's Professional Career
Starting in the NBA
After college, Antonius Cleveland was not chosen in the 2017 NBA draft. However, he still got a chance to play. He joined the Portland Trail Blazers for the NBA Summer League. He played well, averaging 5.8 points in six games.
Later, he signed with the Golden State Warriors for a short time. Then, he joined the Santa Cruz Warriors, a team in the NBA G League.
Playing for the Dallas Mavericks
In November 2017, Antonius signed with the Dallas Mavericks. This was a special type of contract that allowed him to play for both the Mavericks and their G League team, the Texas Legends. He made his NBA debut on November 17, 2017. He scored 2 points and grabbed 2 rebounds in his first game. He split his time between the Mavericks and the Texas Legends.
Time with the Atlanta Hawks
In February 2018, the Atlanta Hawks signed Antonius. He played several games for them. In March 2018, the Hawks signed him to a longer contract. However, he was later released by the Hawks in July 2018.
After leaving the Hawks, he briefly joined the Chicago Bulls. He then returned to play for the Santa Cruz Warriors for the 2018–19 season.
Return to Dallas and Other Teams
In July 2019, Antonius Cleveland rejoined the Dallas Mavericks. He again played for both the Mavericks and the Texas Legends. He had a strong season with the Texas Legends, averaging 14.4 points and 7.3 rebounds.
In 2021, he played for the Oklahoma City Blue, another G League team.
Playing in Australia
In August 2021, Antonius moved to Australia. He signed with the Illawarra Hawks for the 2021–22 NBL season. He quickly became known for his defense. He was named the NBL Best Defensive Player that season.
In June 2022, he signed with the Adelaide 36ers. He continued to be a top defender. He won the NBL Best Defensive Player Award for a second time in the 2022–23 season. After one season, he left the 36ers.
Playing in Israel
In February 2023, Antonius signed a short deal with Hapoel Eilat in Israel. Then, in July 2023, he signed a two-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv, another team in Israel. He played for Maccabi Tel Aviv during the 2023–24 season.
Current Team: CSKA Moscow
Antonius Cleveland joined Lokomotiv Kuban in 2024. As of 2025, he plays for CSKA Moscow in the VTB United League. He was named the VTB United League Defensive Player of the Year in 2025, showing his continued skill in defense.
