Anusuiya Uikey has had a long and active career in politics. She started her journey in the 1980s.
Early Political Steps
In 1985, Anusuiya Uikey was elected to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. This is like the state parliament for Madhya Pradesh. She represented the area of Damua. At that time, she was a member of the Indian National Congress party.
She also served as a Minister for Women and Child Development. This role meant she helped create policies to support women and children. She worked in the cabinet of Arjun Singh.
