The Armenian Premier League is the top football competition in Armenia. It's also known as the Armenian Fastex Premier League because of its sponsor. This league is where the best football clubs in Armenia compete to see who is the champion!

Before Armenia became an independent country, from 1936 to 1991, this competition was a regional tournament within the USSR. After Armenia gained its independence, the Football Federation of Armenia took charge of the league. Over the years, the league has grown and now includes ten teams. The team that wins the league gets a special spot in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, which is a huge international competition!
