Later, in 1926, the Saint-Julien district was actually removed from the list of arrondissements. But don't worry, it didn't stay gone for long! It became an arrondissement again in 1933.

The Saint-Julien-en-Genevois district is located in the northwest part of the Haute-Savoie department. It shares its northern border with Switzerland. To the northeast, it's next to the Thonon-les-Bains district. To the east, you'll find the Bonneville district, and to the south, the Annecy district. On its western side, it borders the Ain department.
