Arrowhead Region facts for kids
The Arrowhead Region is a special area in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Minnesota. It gets its name because its shape on a map looks a lot like the tip of an arrow!
This region is mostly rural, meaning it has lots of open spaces, forests, and lakes rather than big cities. It covers a large area of about 27,575 square kilometers (that's about 10,635 square miles). The Arrowhead Region includes four main counties: Carlton, Cook, Lake, and St. Louis Counties. Back in the year 2000, about 248,425 people lived here.
