Ashish Sharma is an Indian actor who works in both movies and television shows. He also started his own film company called Rachayita Films. He is well-known for playing big roles like Prithvi Vallabh in Prithvi Vallabh - Itihaas Bhi, Rahasya Bhi, Rama in Siya Ke Ram, and Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat in Rangrasiya. He also played Chandragupta Maurya in the TV series Chandragupta Maurya.

Ashish Sharma's Acting Journey

Starting Out

Ashish Sharma began his acting career in 2010. His first movie was a Hindi film called Love ... Aur Dhokha. In the same year, he also started acting on television. His first TV show was Gunahon Ka Devta, where he played the main character.

He then played the famous historical king Chandragupta Maurya in the TV show Chandragupta Maurya. He also appeared as Ranveer in the TV show Rab Se Sohna Isshq.

Becoming Well-Known

In 2014, Ashish became very popular for his role as Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat. He played a border security officer in the TV show RangRasiya. This role made him a household name, meaning almost everyone knew who he was.

In the same year, 2014, he won Season 7 of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. He danced with his partner, choreographer Shampa Sonthalia. Ashish also hosted a radio show called Tujhse Naaraaz Nahin Zindagi.

Recent Work

His last TV show was Prithvi Vallabh - Itihaas Bhi, Rahasya Bhi in 2018. After taking a break from TV, Ashish and his wife, Archana Taide, made a movie called Khejdi in 2018. Ashish himself played a transgender character in this film. Khejdi was shown at many International Film Festivals and won several awards. Ashish even won the Best Actor award at the NYC South Asian Film Festival in 2019 for his role.

In 2019, Ashish played the role of India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in a web series called Modi – A Journey of a Common Man. This series was released online in 2019, and the second season came out in 2020.

In 2022, his movie Hindutva was released. He is currently working on a new web series where he is both producing and acting. He stars alongside actors Gulshan Grover and Sonarika Bhadoria.
