As a junior, Austin averaged 6.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. He had some injuries during this time. He even needed surgery after the season ended. Despite this, he was part of the Auburn team that reached the Final Four for the first time ever.
In his senior year, Austin was recognized as a top player. Coaches named him to the preseason All-SEC team. He was also on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award watchlist. On February 12, 2020, Austin had an amazing game against Alabama. He scored 18 points, grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds, and blocked five shots. Auburn won in overtime.
