How to Play the Game
The way you play Into the Inferno changes depending on which game console you use.
Playing on Nintendo DS
On the Nintendo DS, the characters have really big heads. This gives the game a fun, cartoon-like look.
- Katara can create ice bridges. These help you cross gaps, just like in the earlier games.
- Sokka uses his boomerang to solve puzzles. You can draw a path for it to follow. This helps you hit objects that are hard to reach.
- Toph can use her earthbending powers. She can make small platforms to get over tricky areas with spikes.
Playing on Wii and PlayStation 2
The Wii version offers a totally new way to control your bending!
- You can pick up elements like Fire, rocks, and water. Just hold the B button and guide them with your Wii Remote. You need a nearby source of the element to do this.
- Aang can create an "air ball." This is a sphere of strong winds. He uses it to break obstacles and blow things away. You make a circle with the Wii Remote to do this. Aang can bend all four elements. But he mainly uses airbending in fights.
- Toph can lift earth and throw it. She can also pull earth out of walls. She can even lift it up to create tall pillars.
- Katara can bend water to put out fires. She can also freeze water into a solid block. Just shake the nunchuck to do this. She can also pull ice from waterfalls. She can even make ice pillars.
- Zuko can guide fire and burn objects.
- Sokka throws his boomerang when you press the B button. You use the Wii Remote to aim it.
