Avoca is a small town located in Benton County, Arkansas, in the United States. In 2020, about 487 people lived there. It is part of the larger Northwest Arkansas area. The town got its name from a place called Avoca in Ireland.

Town History

Avoca was officially planned and mapped out in 1881. However, a post office had already been open there since 1872. This means people were living and sending mail from Avoca even before it was formally established as a town.

Geography and Location

Avoca is located in the eastern-central part of Benton County. It is about 6 miles (10 km) northeast of the center of Rogers.

Roads and Travel

U.S. Route 62 is a main road that goes through Avoca. This highway connects Avoca to other towns. If you go southwest on U.S. Route 62, you will reach Bentonville in about 7 miles (11 km). If you travel northeast, you will get to Gateway, which is close to the Missouri border, about 11 miles (18 km) away.

Land Area
