Where is Gateway?
Gateway is in the northeastern part of Benton County. It sits right near the border with Missouri. A main road, U.S. Route 62, goes through the town. This road can take you east to places like Eureka Springs or southwest to Rogers. Another road, Arkansas Highway 37, goes north into Missouri.
The town is on a high flat area called a plateau in the Ozarks mountains. It's about 1,600 feet (488 meters) above sea level. From Gateway, you can see the valleys of the White River and Beaver Lake to the south. The town covers an area of about 6.56 square miles (17.0 square kilometers), and it's all land.
