Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor is a professional women's volleyball team. It is part of the Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor Kulübü sports club. This club is based in Aydın, Turkey. The team plays its home games at the Mimar Sinan Spor Salonu in Aydın.
In the 2018-19 season, Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor played in European competitions for the first time. They reached the final of the CEV Women's Challenge Cup and finished in second place.

Club History
Aydın Belediyegücü Sports Club started in 2010. On July 11, 2014, its name changed to Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor Club. The club has 30 different sports branches. The volleyball team started in the Women's Away Regional League L Group.
Early Years and Promotions
In their first year, they finished second in their group. They won 8 games. This success helped them move up to the 3rd League.
In the 2010-2011 season, they played in the Women's Aroma 3rd League Group A. They finished 9th with 6 wins and 14 losses.
During the 2012-2013 season, they won 2 games and lost 18. They finished 11th and moved down to the Regional League.
Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor aimed to return to the 3rd League in the 2013-2014 season. They became champions of the Regional League C-Denizli group. This meant they were promoted back to the 3rd League.
They managed to stay in the league during the 2014-2015 season.
In the 2015-2016 Season, they played in the 3rd League Women 1st Group. They finished 11th with only 2 wins in 21 matches. This led to them being moved down again.
The team played in the play-offs in the 2016-2017 season. They finished second in Play-off B GROUP - (İZMİR). They won 2 games and lost 1. This helped them get promoted once more.
In the 2017-2018 season, the 3rd League was removed. Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor competed in the 2nd League Women's 3rd Group. They finished 11th that season.
Reaching the Top League
For the 2018-2019 season, the club bought the rights to play in the Sultanlar Ligi. This is Turkey's top women's volleyball league. They also gained a spot in the CEV Challenge Cup.
They started well in the Vestel Venus Sultanlar League. They won their first three matches 3-0. These wins were against Turkish Airlines, Çanakkale Belediyespor, and Karayolları.
Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor finished 10th in the league. This result helped them stay in the top league.
European Competition Success
In the same 2018-2019 season, they played in the CEV Challenge Cup. They faced Beşiktaş in the last 16 round. They lost the first game 3-1 away. But they won the second game 3-0 at home. This led to a "golden set," which Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor won 15-12. They moved on to the final 8.
In the final 8, they played against Hermes Oostende from Belgium. Aydın won the first game 3-0 at home. They won the second game 3-2 away. This sent them to the quarter-finals.
Their opponent in the quarter-finals was A.O. Thiras from Greece. Aydın won the first match 3-2 away. They won the second match 3-0 at home. This meant they reached the semi-finals.
