Rachael Alexis Adams (born June 3, 1990) is an American former professional volleyball player. She played as a middle blocker. Rachael was a key player for the United States women's national volleyball team. She helped her national team win a gold medal at the 2014 World Championship. She also earned a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Rachael Adams' Volleyball Journey

Rachael Adams grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Mount Notre Dame High School where she played volleyball. After high school, she continued her volleyball career in college. She played for the University of Texas at Austin. In 2012, while at Texas, Adams was recognized as one of the top four college volleyball players. She was a finalist for the Honda Sports Award.

Playing for the National Team

Adams joined the USA national team. In 2014, her team won the gold medal at the World Championship. They beat China 3-1 in the final match. This was a huge win for the team.

In 2016, Adams was named one of the "Best Middle Blockers" at the World Grand Prix. She shared this award with Brazilian player Thaísa Menezes.

Playing for Clubs Around the World

Rachael also played for professional clubs in different countries. With her team Eczacıbaşı VitrA from Turkey, she won a gold medal. This was at the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in 2016.

In the 2016–17 season, Adams and Eczacıbaşı VitrA won the bronze medal. This was at the 2016–17 CEV Women's Champions League. They defeated the Russian team Dinamo Moscow 3-0. Rachael was again named the "Best Middle Blocker" in this competition.

After the 2017-2018 season, she moved to Italy. She signed with the club Monza. She played in the top Italian league, Italian A1 league. She continued her professional career playing for clubs in Turkey and Brazil before retiring.
