The Time-Traveling Adventure Begins
The S Club 7 band members are on a long drive from Miami to Los Angeles. Rachel notices their car's mileage counter, called a milometer, has reached all nines. As it resets to zero, they accidentally drive through a special time tunnel, known as a wormhole. Suddenly, the radio starts playing music from the 1950s.
When they arrive in a town called Townville, they see many old-fashioned things. They spot The Big Cup Diner, which sells a burger, fries, and a soda for only 20 cents! They quickly figure out they've gone back 40 years to 1959. While they try to find a way back to their own time, the local Sheriff Bukovski approaches them. He thinks they are troublemakers and warns them he will be watching them closely.
Trouble in Townville
The group decides to go bowling. A gang called the Rockets enters the bowling alley. Their leader, Ricky, wrongly accuses Bradley of trying to steal his girlfriend, Shirelle. This starts a fight between them. Sheriff Bukovski, who turns out to be Ricky's uncle, blames S Club 7 for the fight. He arrests Bradley, Jo, Paul, and Rachel.
The next morning, they are released from jail. The Sheriff tells them they must leave Townville by sunset.
Saving the Diner
S Club 7 returns to the diner. There, they meet Chuck Martindale, the waiter, whom Hannah starts to like. They also meet his dad, Hank, who owns the diner. Hank tells them that Ricky and his dad, Dicky, have been trying to shut down the diner. This feud started between Hank and Dicky. The Rockets even broke the diner's jukebox to ruin the upcoming jukebox night.
S Club 7 steps in to save the night by performing their own songs. After their performance, Hannah and Chuck have to say a sad goodbye. S Club 7 leaves, just barely avoiding Sheriff Bukovski seeing them.
A Jump in Time and a Big Race
The band drives all night. When they return to Townville, they find the diner boarded up and closed. Chuck tells them it has been shut for weeks. S Club 7 realizes they have accidentally traveled one month further into the future! The Rockets have been causing so much trouble that Hank is thinking about selling the diner to Dicky.
The group finds Ricky at a garage, getting ready for a big race the next day. S Club 7 challenges him to a race. The prize? Their car against the deed to the diner! Later, Chuck tries to help S Club 7. He admits to Hannah that he feels bad for not doing enough to support them.
The Race and a Happy Ending
At the race, the band finds a newspaper in their car dated for the next day. An article in it predicts Chuck's death in the race! Hannah quickly stops Chuck from driving in their place. She tells him that they are from the future and were sent to prevent his death. She also tells him he will do amazing things in the future.
Hannah gives Chuck a kiss, which convinces him. Chuck agrees to let Rachel drive, as they had planned before. The race is very close, and it looks like Ricky will win. But his car's engine breaks down, and he crashes into a bush. S Club 7 wins the race! Hank and Dicky finally make up and become friends again. The Rockets are upset about losing their "cool gang" status, but S Club 7 convinces them to stay in Townville.
After throwing a fun party for everyone in town, S Club 7 says their goodbyes. Hannah and Chuck share a final kiss. The band drives back through the wormhole and returns to 1999. They see Ricky as a middle-aged mechanic. Chuck is now the town governor, and the diner has been renamed the Famous S Club 7 Diner!
