Backyard Soccer MLS Edition is a fun soccer video game. It was made by Humongous Entertainment and came out in 2000. This game is part of the popular Backyard Sports series.
What makes this game special? It was the first in the series to feature real teams from Major League Soccer (MLS). You could even play with famous players like Jason Kreis and Brandi Chastain. The cool twist is that all these professional players appear as kid versions of themselves in the game!
This edition was available for Macintosh and Windows computers. A version for the Game Boy Color was planned but never released.
Play Like a Pro in Backyard Soccer
This game lets you step into the shoes of a soccer coach. You get to manage your very own team through an entire season. Your goal is to lead them to victory in matches against the computer.
Managing Your Dream Team
As the coach, you need to keep an eye on your players. Their skills might get better or worse during the season. You'll need to make smart choices to help your team succeed.
You can choose to play with real MLS teams. Or, you can create your own custom team! You pick players from a big group of MLS stars. The game even lets you turn off some rules, like the offside rule, for a more relaxed game.
Two-Player Fun
Want to play with a friend? Backyard Soccer MLS Edition has a two-player mode. One player uses the computer mouse to control their team. The other player uses the keyboard. It's a great way to challenge your friends to a soccer match!
