Barry James Stock, born on April 24, 1974, is a talented Canadian musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist for the popular Canadian rock band, Three Days Grace.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings
Barry Stock was born in Belgium. He grew up in Norwood, Ontario, Canada. From a young age, he discovered rock bands like Black Sabbath, Van Halen, and AC/DC.
Stock taught himself how to play the guitar. He actually started by playing drums first. When he was 13, he bought his first guitar. He spent a lot of time practicing and learning songs. As he got older, he started focusing on writing his own music.
Music Career with Three Days Grace
Stock joined the band Three Days Grace in 2003. This was shortly after their first album, Three Days Grace, came out. With Barry joining, the band became a four-person group.
He has played on many of the band's studio albums. These include One-X (2006), Life Starts Now (2009), and Transit of Venus (2012). He also played on Human (2015), Outsider (2018), and Explosions (2022).
At the 2010 Juno Awards, Barry Stock helped welcome the band April Wine into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Other Projects and Interests
Barry Stock is also the founder of MEAN Clothing Company. This company makes clothing inspired by rock music and military styles. He also has a part of the company called MEAN Beard.
Besides music, Barry Stock enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors.
Barry Stock's Guitar Gear
Barry Stock uses several types of guitars. He often plays Schecter, Ibanez, and PRS guitars. He especially likes an Ibanez SZ320 model. He also has a special Ibanez Custom Shop baritone guitar. This guitar was made just for him around the time of the band's 2006 album, One-X.
He has a collection of Ibanez guitars. He has also used Ibanez ART series and Darkstone series guitars. For his sound, he uses Marshall Amplification and various effect pedals. These include an Ibanez Tube Screamer. He has also used Diezel Vh4 Amplifiers.
Some of the guitarists who have influenced Barry Stock include Paul Gilbert and Yngwie Malmsteen. Other influences are Tony MacAlpine, Tony Iommi, and Ritchie Blackmore. He also looks up to Stephen Carpenter from Deftones and Daron Malakian from System of a Down.
Personal Life
Barry Stock is married to Heather. They got married in 1997. Stock currently lives in Southern Indiana.
