Barry James Stock (born April 24, 1974) is a Canadian musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist for the popular Canadian rock band Three Days Grace.

Early life
Barry Stock was born in Belgium. He grew up in Norwood, Ontario, Canada. From a young age, he loved music. He listened to bands like Black Sabbath, Van Halen, and AC/DC.
Barry taught himself how to play the guitar. He actually started by playing the drums first! When he was 13, he bought his first guitar. It was a Raven Telecaster copy. He spent a lot of time practicing in his room. As he got older, he started focusing more on writing his own songs.
Career
Barry Stock joined Three Days Grace in 2003. This was shortly after the band released their first album, Three Days Grace. With Barry joining, the band became a group of four members.
He has played on many of the band's albums. These include One-X (2006), Life Starts Now (2009), Transit of Venus (2012), Human (2015), Outsider (2018), and Explosions (2022).
In 2010, Barry helped present an award at the Juno Awards. He helped welcome the band April Wine into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Barry also started his own company called MEAN Clothing Company. It sells clothes inspired by rock music and military styles. There's even a MEAN Beard section! Besides music, Barry enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors.
Barry uses different types of guitars, like Schecter, Ibanez, and PRS guitars. He especially likes an Ibanez SZ320. He also has a special Ibanez Custom Shop baritone guitar. This guitar was made just for him around the time of the band's 2006 album, One-X. He uses Marshall Amplification and various effect pedals to create his sound.
Some of the guitarists who have inspired Barry include Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony MacAlpine, Tony Iommi, Ritchie Blackmore, Stephen Carpenter from Deftones, and Daron Malakian from System of a Down.
Personal life
Barry Stock is married to Heather. They got married in 1997.
Once, during a show, Barry experienced a health issue. He bravely finished the performance and then received medical attention.
Barry Stock currently lives in Southern Indiana.
