Bauta is a lively town and municipality in Cuba. It's located about 40 kilometers (25 miles) southwest of Havana, the capital city. Since 2010, Bauta has been part of the Artemisa Province. Before that, it was part of the old Havana Province. The town was officially founded on January 14, 1879.

Where is Bauta Located?
Bauta is part of the larger Havana area. This municipality includes several smaller villages. Some of these villages are Anafe, Cangrejeras, and Playa Baracoa. The Baracoa River flows through Bauta. It empties into the Gulf of Mexico at Playa Baracoa.

It serves Havana and is located close to the village of Playa Baracoa.
