Beck Bennett is an American actor and comedian. He was born on October 1, 1984. Many people know him from the TV show Saturday Night Live. He was a cast member on this popular sketch comedy show for eight seasons.
Before joining Saturday Night Live, Beck Bennett was in funny commercials for AT&T. In these ads, he interviewed children, which many people found very entertaining. He also made comedy videos with his group called Good Neighbor.

Early Life and Education
Beck Bennett grew up in Wilmette, Illinois. His parents are Sarah and Andy Bennett. When he was young, he acted in many plays at the Children's Theatre of Winnetka.
He went to New Trier High School and graduated in 2003. While in high school, he played the main character, Jean Valjean, in the musical Les Misérables. After high school, he studied acting at the USC School of Dramatic Arts. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
Comedy Career Beginnings
In 2003, Beck Bennett joined a comedy group called Commedus Interruptus. His future Saturday Night Live friend, Kyle Mooney, was also in this group. After college in 2007, Beck, Kyle, and another friend, Nick Rutherford, teamed up with editor Dave McCary. They formed the sketch comedy group Good Neighbor.
This group became quite popular. Famous comedian Louis C.K. and director Steven Spielberg even praised their work. Spielberg was very impressed by their funny video called Unbelievable Dinner. It was a parody of the movie Hook. He sent them a special message, encouraging them to keep making funny movies.
In 2011, Beck Bennett created a funny political talk show called Fresh Perspectives. This show helped him get the AT&T commercials where he interviewed kids. He also hosted a YouTube show called Theatre of Life.
Film and TV Roles
Beck Bennett has appeared in many movies and TV shows. In 2012, he was in the film Beside Still Waters. In 2013, he had a role in an episode of Last Man Standing. That same year, he voiced a character for Axe Cop. He also appeared in season 4 of Arrested Development.
He has lent his voice to many animated characters. From 2017 to 2021, he was the voice of Launchpad McQuack in the DuckTales reboot. He also voiced Eric in the movie The Mitchells vs. the Machines. Currently, he is the voice of Hamster in the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.
Since 2023, Beck Bennett has voiced Hank the Buffalo in commercials for Buffalo Wild Wings. In 2025, he appeared as Steve Lombard in the movie Superman.
Time on Saturday Night Live
Beck Bennett joined Saturday Night Live (SNL) as a new cast member on September 28, 2013. He quickly became a main cast member in 2015. He left the show after the season finale on May 22, 2021.
He shared in an interview that he left SNL to be closer to his wife in Los Angeles. Even after leaving, he has made special guest appearances. He was part of the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special. He also played his impression of Vladimir Putin in a sketch in April 2025.
Personal Life
Beck Bennett married his girlfriend, Jessy Hodges, on August 25, 2018. They had been together for five years before getting married. In March 2022, Jessy shared that they had welcomed a son.
Beck Bennett has been good friends with Kyle Mooney, another Saturday Night Live cast member, since they were students at the University of Southern California.
