The general store in Bedrock was built in 1882. It was a very important place for the people living there. At first, it helped the ranchers in the nearby Paradox Valley. Later, in the 20th century, it also served miners who were looking for uranium. This historic store even appeared in the 1991 movie Thelma & Louise.
