Meet the Characters
This show is full of interesting characters, especially Ian's family and friends!
The Kelley Family
- Ian Kelley: Ian is the main character, voiced by Richard Ian Cox. He's 12 years old and absolutely loves making movies. He often gets lost in his imagination, dreaming up amazing film scenes. Ian's biggest goal is to win an Academy Award, and he even practices his acceptance speech! His family doesn't always understand his creative side, which can be frustrating for him. Ian is smart but sometimes a bit naive. His middle name, James, is a nod to the show's creator, Ian James Corlett. He also has a secret crush on his friend Sandi.
- Kenneth "Ken" Kelley: Ian's dad, voiced by Louis Chirillo, owns a music store called Kelley's Keyboards. Ken is a loving dad but can be a bit clumsy and easily distracted. He tries to be in charge at home, but his family often finds ways to get what they want. Ken depends a lot on his wife, Vicky, to keep things running smoothly. When he was younger, he wanted to be a music star. His funny catchphrase is "Holy Moli, Ravioli!"
- Victoria "Vicky" Kelley: Ian's mom, voiced by Patricia Drake, is from Poland. She manages the house and helps Ken at the music store. Vicky loves her family, but her sons and husband know to be careful when she's upset! She's usually the most sensible person in the family. However, she can sometimes get really into strange hobbies, like collecting spoons or organic food.
- Kyle Kelley: Kyle, voiced by Ty Olsson, is Ian's oldest brother. He's a relaxed teenager who can seem a bit lazy. Kyle is actually very smart and can do complex math or remember whole textbooks easily. But he usually only uses his brain to get his way or chase after girls. He loves to tease Ian, but deep down, he probably cares about his younger brother.
- Korey Kelley: Korey, voiced by Matt Hill, is Ian's middle brother. He's a unique character who often seems to be in his own world. Even though he seems spaced out, Korey is actually very sharp and observant. He's caught between his two brothers and combines some of Ian's kindness with Kyle's laziness. Korey rarely takes off his cap, even when he sleeps!
- Chopin: Voiced by David Kaye, Chopin is the Kelley family's small dog. He has only three legs. Ian got him as a gift when he was little. Vicky, who loves animals with special needs, told Ian that all dogs have three legs!
Friends and Relatives
- Tyrone "Ty" Washington: Voiced by Dexter Bell, Tyrone is Ian's best friend from the United States. He's usually more sensible than Ian and tries to be the voice of reason. But he's also ready to join in on Ian's wild plans. Tyrone often helps bring Ian back to reality when his daydreams go too far.
- Sandra "Sandi" Crocker: Sandi, voiced by Tabitha St. Germain, is Ian's other best friend. She's athletic, a bit of a tomboy, and can easily overpower Ian and Tyrone. Sandi often watches Ian's antics with amusement. While their friendship is usually just platonic, there are hints that Ian and Sandi might like each other more than just friends.
- Grandma Eleanor Kelley: Voiced by Patricia Drake, she is Ken's mom from Scotland. She speaks with a strong Scottish accent and can make her whole family nervous! No one dares to cross her. In the show's opening, Ian imagines his family as movie monsters, but Grandma Kelley looks exactly the same, showing how scary she already is!
- Grandma Mary Menske: Vicky's mom, voiced by Christina Jastrzembska, is a very doting grandmother. She loves to spoil her family with big meals and handmade clothes. She never really approved of Ken and Vicky's marriage, thinking it was due to a curse. She only gave her blessing when she found out Vicky's ex-boyfriend had lost his teeth!
- Odbald: Voiced by Ian James Corlett, Odbald is Ken's assistant at Kelley's Keyboards. He's an immigrant from the Netherlands who moved to Canada to avoid polishing cheeses. Odbald is an adult but acts very immature. Leaving him in charge of the Kelley boys always leads to trouble! He's an expert with keyboards and is very loyal to "Mishter Kelley" (Ken).
Other Characters
- Principal Bill McCammon: Voiced by Richard Newman, he is Ian's school principal at Celine Dion Middle School. He sometimes doesn't trust Ian because of his wild imagination. Still, he tries his best to make sure everyone gets a good education.
- Mr. Greeble: Voiced by Peter Kelamis (and Ty Olsson once), Mr. Greeble is one of Ian's teachers. Like the principal, he's often wary of Ian's imaginative ideas.
- Ronald Fleeman: Voiced by Ian James Corlett, he owns a smoothie shop right next to Kelley's Keyboards.
