Belpberg was once a small town, or municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Bern. On January 1, 2012, Belpberg joined with the nearby town of Belp.
For a long time, people in Belpberg mostly worked in farming. They raised cows for milk and meat. Even today, many people still work in agriculture. Most working adults travel to bigger towns for their jobs. Many go to the city of Bern.

The name Belpberg was first written down in 1342. Later, people wrote it as Belperg in 1380 and Beltperg in 1390. We don't know exactly where the name "Belp" comes from.

Belpberg is on a hill that has the same name. This hill is between the Aare river and the Gürbetal valley.
The area includes several small villages called hamlets. Some of these are Linden, Oberhäusern, and Hofstetten. There are also many scattered farmhouses. Belpberg is part of the church area of Belp.
