Benjamin Ray Bailey, born on October 30, 1970, is a funny American comedian. He is most famous for being the host of the game show Cash Cab. This show, which won an Emmy Award, takes place in a taxi in New York City.

Early Life and Beginnings

Ben Bailey was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He grew up in Chatham Borough, New Jersey. He finished high school in Chatham Borough in 1988.

After high school, Ben went to Old Dominion University. In 1993, he moved to Los Angeles. Ben is very tall, standing at 6 feet 6 inches (about 198 cm). Because of his height, he got a job as a bouncer at a famous comedy club called The Comedy Store.

One night, Ben was telling stories with some comedians. A person named Skip E. Lowe, who was hosting the club, found Ben's stories very funny. Skip then offered Ben a chance to try stand-up comedy. This was how Ben started his career as a comedian.

Ben Bailey is well-known as the host of the American version of Cash Cab. On this TV game show, Ben drives a taxicab around New York City. People who get into his taxi become contestants and answer trivia questions. The show was shown on the Discovery Channel and Bravo.

Ben also narrated a Discovery Channel series called Smash Lab. From 2011 to 2012, he hosted another show called Who's Still Standing? on NBC. This show was not continued because it cost too much to make.
