Bernard Stalter (born March 12, 1957 – died April 13, 2020) was a French businessman and politician. He started his career as a hairdresser. Later, he became a leader for small businesses and craftspeople in France. He also served as a regional council member.

Early Life and Hairdressing Career
Bernard Stalter was born on March 12, 1957, in Brumath, France. When he was 14 years old, he began learning to be a hairdresser. This is called an apprenticeship.
After he became a certified hairdresser, he worked for the French Army. He worked at the Entzheim Air Base. In 1993, he opened his very first hairdressing salon in Brumath.
Leading Business Groups
In November 2007, Bernard Stalter was chosen to lead the Economic and Social Council of Alsace. He took over from Jean-Marie Sander. He held this position until 2013.
In 2014, he became the President of the National Union of Hairdressing Businesses. He was part of this group from 2015 to 2018. He also led Beaute Diffusion Events, a company that did well in 2015. He worked as an agent for other companies too, like Sarl la Coiffure.
In November 2016, Stalter was elected to the Alsace and Grand Est Chamber of Trades. He was the only person running for the job. He also led the Siagi company and a union for craft businesses in Bas-Rhin. The next month, he was elected President of CMA France. He received almost all the votes, with 106 out of 113.
Helping Others
In May 2017, Bernard Stalter traveled to Corsica. He went there to visit people who were affected by floods in November 2016. Many people on the island received money from CMA France's disaster fund to help them.
He also visited people in Guadeloupe who were affected by Hurricane Maria. He helped them through his work with CMA France.
In December 2017, he was chosen as Vice-President of the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. This group helps small and medium-sized businesses across Europe. On September 26, 2018, he was also elected to lead the National Confederation of Handicrafts in Service and Manufacturing Trades.
Later Life and Passing
On March 20, 2020, Bernard Stalter shared on his Facebook page that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19. He passed away on April 13, 2020, in Strasbourg, at the age of 63.

Bernard Stalter received several important awards for his work and service:
- Knight of the Ordre national du Mérite (2007) - This is a special French honor.
- Knight of the Legion of Honour (2009) - This is France's highest award.
- Officer of the Ordre national du Mérite (2016) - A higher rank of the Ordre national du Mérite.
