Berndt Seite was born on April 22, 1940, in a place called Hahnswalde, near Trebnitz. He is a German politician. He served as the second Minister President of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from 1992 to 1998. He was also the 45th president of the German Bundesrat in 1992.

Early Life and Education
Berndt Seite grew up in Hahnswalde, which is in a region called Lower Silesia. He went to primary school in Ihleburg from 1946 to 1954. After that, he attended a special high school called Pforta state school in Schulpforte. He finished high school in 1958.
Studying to Become a Vet
After high school, Berndt Seite decided to study veterinary medicine. This means he learned how to take care of animals and treat their illnesses. He studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin in Berlin. He finished his studies in November 1963.
