Gilberto Carlos Nascimento, better known as Betinho, was a Brazilian football coach and former player. He was born on June 14, 1966, in São Paulo, Brazil, and passed away on December 7, 2024. Betinho played as a midfielder during his career. He was the head coach of Barcelona de Ilhéus at the time of his passing.

Playing Career
Betinho had a long and exciting career as a football player. He played for many different clubs in Brazil. Some of his early teams included Juventus and Cruzeiro.
Playing in Japan
From 1993 to 1998, Betinho played in Japan. He joined Bellmare Hiratsuka (which was called Fujita Industries at first). He was a very important player for them, scoring many goals. After that, he played for Kawasaki Frontale.
Return to Brazil
After his time in Japan, Betinho returned to Brazil. He played for clubs like Internacional and Guarani. He continued playing until 2003, finishing his career with Francana.

Betinho also had the honor of playing for the Brazilian national team. He played one international match in 1988.
