Beverley Ann Mitchell (born January 22, 1981) is an American actress and singer. She started her acting journey with many guest roles on TV shows. She also played a young Nancy Sinatra in a TV mini-series called Sinatra in 1992. Beverley became very well-known for her main role as Lucy Camden on the TV series 7th Heaven, which aired from 1996 to 2007.

After her big role on 7th Heaven, Beverley Mitchell appeared in the superhero movie The Crow: City of Angels in 1996. In the 2000s, she starred in the Disney Channel TV movie Right on Track (2003) and the suspense film Saw II (2005). Later, in the 2010s, she starred in the comedy film Snowmen (2010). She also played a fun version of herself on the TV series Hollywood Darlings from 2017 to 2018. She had a repeating role as Kaitlin O'Malley on the series The Secret Life of the American Teenager from 2011 to 2013. Besides acting, Beverley Mitchell released her own country music album in 2007. This album reached number 30 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Beverley Mitchell finished high school at Chaminade College Preparatory School in 1999. After that, she went to Loyola Marymount University to study film production.

Career Highlights

Beverley Mitchell's first big movie role was at age 15 in The Crow: City of Angels. She played a teenager named Grace. While filming this movie in 1996, she tried out for the role of Mary Camden in a new family drama called 7th Heaven. She didn't get that part, but then she read for the role of the sister, Lucy, and was chosen!

In 2000, Mitchell had a small part in The Amanda Show. In 2003, she played Erica Enders in the Disney Channel movie Right on Track. This movie was based on the real-life early racing careers of Erica Enders and her sister Courtney Enders. In 2005, while taking a break from 7th Heaven, Mitchell played Laura Hunter in the suspense movie Saw II. In 2006, she recorded her first country music album, which was named after herself. She helped write eight of the songs on the album, including "Angel." This song is about a friend who passed away in a car accident when they were teenagers. Mitchell also starred in the 2007 TV movie I Know What I Saw.

In 2010, Mitchell took on the role of school counselor Katelyn O'Malley on the third season of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. In March 2016, she was cast in the series Hollywood Darlings with other child stars from the 1990s, Jodie Sweetin and Christine Lakin. The show first aired on April 12, 2017. In April 2024, it was announced that Mitchell would co-host a 7th Heaven rewatch podcast called Catching up with the Camdens. She hosts it with her former co-stars, Mackenzie Rosman and David Gallagher.

Personal Life

Beverley Mitchell married her long-time boyfriend, Michael Cameron, on October 1, 2008. Their wedding took place in Ravello, Italy. Her former 7th Heaven castmates Jessica Biel and Mackenzie Rosman were bridesmaids. Beverley and Michael have three children: a son and two daughters.
