Jodie Lee Ann Sweetin (born January 19, 1982) is an American actress and television personality. She is most famous for playing Stephanie Tanner. This role was in the popular ABC comedy series Full House. She also starred in its Netflix sequel series Fuller House.

Early Life and Education
Jodie Sweetin was born in Los Angeles, California. When she was nine months old, her uncle and his wife adopted her. They raised her as their only child.
In 1999, Jodie graduated from Los Alamitos High School. This was four years after Full House finished. She then went to Chapman University in Orange, California. While in high school, Jodie performed in musical theater. She acted alongside Matthew Morrison, who is also a well-known actor.
Jodie Sweetin's Acting Career
Jodie Sweetin started her acting journey very young. She appeared in many national commercials. One of her first commercials was for the restaurant chain Sizzler in 1987.
Becoming Stephanie Tanner
Sweetin got a guest role in the sitcom Valerie. She played a character named Pamela. Soon after, Jeff Franklin chose her for the role of Stephanie Tanner. This was for the ABC comedy series Full House. Jodie played Stephanie from age five until she was 13 years old. The show ended in 1995.
Returning to Television
After Full House, Jodie Sweetin returned to TV. She hosted the second season of Pants-Off Dance-Off. This was a dance competition show on Fuse. She also starred in a TV pilot called Small Bits of Happiness. This show won an award for Best Comedy.
In 2009, Jodie worked on independent films. She appeared in two movies: Port City and Redefining Love. She also appeared in five web episodes of an Internet show. This show was called Can't Get Arrested in 2011. In 2012, she played Leia in the TV movie Singled Out.
Fuller House and Dancing with the Stars
In 2015, it was announced that Jodie would play Stephanie Tanner again. This was for the Netflix spin-off series Fuller House. The show ran for five seasons and ended in 2020.
On March 2, 2016, Jodie joined Dancing with the Stars. She competed in season 22. Her dance partner was Keo Motsepe. They finished in sixth place. In 2017, she starred in Hollywood Darlings. This was a docu-comedy series for Pop. She played a fun, exaggerated version of herself. The series lasted for two seasons.
Recent Projects
In 2019, Sweetin started a podcast called Never Thought I'd Say This. She hosts it with her best friend, Celia Behar. They talk about parenting.
In 2022, Jodie competed on several TV shows. These included CBS's Beyond the Edge. She also appeared on Food Network's Worst Cooks in America. And she was on FOX's Name That Tune.
In 2023, Jodie Sweetin appeared in a TV commercial for Sizzler. This was 36 years after her very first commercial for the same restaurant.
Personal Life

As a child, Jodie Sweetin loved to dance. She took ballet and tap lessons from age three.
Jodie has two daughters. Her first daughter, Zoie, was born in 2008. Her second daughter, Beatrix, was born in 2010. Jodie Sweetin married Mescal Wasilewski on July 30, 2022.
