Bianca's Hosting Journey
Bianca Gonzalez started her career as a TV host when she was young. One of her first shows was GameChannel Extreme. She also hosted Review Night on Cinema One. Later, she became a "tadjock" (a type of host) for Wazzup Wazzup on Studio 23. She also co-hosted MTV U-Break.
In 2001, Bianca hosted Gameplan and then moved to Review Night with Ryan Agoncillo. She was also part of the morning show Breakfast. After that, she joined bigger shows like Magandang Umaga, Pilipinas and StarDance.
Big Break: Pinoy Big Brother
Bianca's career really took off when she joined Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition. She finished in 3rd place, which was a big achievement! After that, she got many more hosting jobs.
She became a host for Y Speak, a show where young people discuss important topics. She also hosted Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition UpLate. For Pinoy Dream Academy, she was the campus VJ for their update shows.
Bianca also hosted TFC Connect on The Filipino Channel. In this show, she talked about issues that Filipinos living abroad face.
Current and Past Shows
Today, Bianca continues to host and produce Y Speak. She also hosted Blog: Barkada Log and Entertainment Live, which were showbiz news shows. She worked with Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez on Pinoy Big Brother. She also hosted Über, a spin-off show for Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 2.
She hosts Cinema News Alert: Weekend Edition and features movies on Cinema One. Bianca also hosted a show called I Am Ninoy, which explored the lives of new generation "Ninoys" (people inspired by Ninoy Aquino).
In December 2011, Bianca signed a new two-year contract with ABS-CBN. She is currently a host for the morning show Umagang Kay Ganda and the reality show Pinoy Big Brother.
Helping Others: Advocacies
Bianca Gonzalez is a big supporter of children's rights. On February 11, 2010, she became a UNICEF Philippines Child Rights Supporter. She has been helping UNICEF since 2007, especially by raising money for education programs. For example, in 2007, she raised PHP 36,000 through her blog to help UNICEF buy 100 books for libraries.
In December 2013, Bianca showed great support for the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan. Her efforts were noticed internationally. She was listed among 6 celebrities by The Huffington Post who reminded people not to forget the typhoon survivors. Other famous people on the list included Victoria and David Beckham, and Rihanna.
Bianca's Family Life
Bianca has a brother named JC Gonzalez, who is also a TV host. In March 2014, she got engaged to PBA basketball player JC Intal. They got married on December 4, 2014, in El Nido, Palawan.
In April 2015, TV host Boy Abunda announced that Bianca and JC were expecting their first child. Their daughter, Lucia Martine, was born on October 23, 2015. They now have two children.
