What is the Big Valley Creation Science Museum?

This museum explores the idea of creation science. This is a belief that the universe and life were created by a divine being, as described in religious texts like the Bible. It also teaches about young-earth creationism, which is the belief that Earth is only a few thousand years old, not billions.

History of the Museum

The Big Valley Creation Science Museum first opened its doors on June 5, 2007. It was started by a man named Harry Nibourg, who worked in the oil industry.

The museum is about 900 square feet (or 84 square meters) in size. It cost around C$280,000 to build.

What Can You See There?

Inside the museum, you can find different exhibits. One display shows how a tiny part of bacteria, called a flagellum, works. Another exhibit suggests how the family tree of the royal family might connect back to Adam and Eve. There are also displays that present fossils as proof for the Great Flood story from the Bible.

When it first opened in 2007, the museum welcomed between 40 and 80 visitors each week.
