Bijan Robinson (born January 30, 2002) is an American professional football player. He is a running back for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).
Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Texas Longhorns. While in college, he won the Doak Walker Award. This award goes to the best running back in college football. He was also named a unanimous All-American in 2022. The Atlanta Falcons chose him as the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Bijan Robinson was born on January 30, 2002, in Tucson, Arizona. He went to Salpointe Catholic High School. There, he set a state record for rushing yards. He ran for 7,036 yards and scored 114 touchdowns.
In his senior year, he was named the Arizona Gatorade Football Player of the Year. He rushed for 2,235 yards and 38 touchdowns. Bijan was chosen to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl. He was a top recruit and decided to play college football at the University of Texas at Austin.
College Football Career
Bijan Robinson started playing right away as a freshman at Texas in 2020. He was named the MVP of the 2020 Alamo Bowl. In that game, he ran for 183 yards and scored a touchdown. He finished his first season with 703 rushing yards and six total touchdowns.
In 2021, Bijan had an amazing game against TCU. He carried the ball 35 times for 216 yards and two touchdowns. For the 2021 season, he rushed for 1,127 yards. He was also named to the All-Big 12 Conference first team.
His 2022 season was even better. Against Kansas, he ran for 243 yards and scored four touchdowns. That year, he rushed for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns. He won the Doak Walker Award and was a unanimous All-American. He led the Big 12 conference in both rushing yards and touchdowns.

The Atlanta Falcons picked Bijan Robinson in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft. He was the eighth player chosen overall. In May 2023, he signed a four-year contract with the Falcons. This contract was worth over $21 million.
Bijan played his first NFL game in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. He rushed for 56 yards and caught six passes for 27 yards. He also scored his first professional touchdown in that game. In Week 2, he ran for 129 yards against the Green Bay Packers.
During his rookie season in 2023, he started 16 games. He rushed for 976 yards and scored four rushing touchdowns. He also caught 58 passes for 487 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

Personal Life
Bijan Robinson is a Christian. His mother named him after a famous Iranian fashion designer named Bijan. The name "Bijan" means "hero" in the Persian language.
His great uncle is Paul Robinson. Paul was also a running back who played for teams like the Cincinnati Bengals. In 2022, Bijan started promoting his own brand of gourmet dijon mustard. It is called Bijan Mustardson.
