Billy Thompson (born October 10, 1946) is a former American football player. He played as a cornerback and safety in the National Football League (NFL). Billy was picked by the Denver Broncos in the 1969 NFL/AFL draft.
He played college football at Maryland State College. Later, he was honored by being added to the Hawk Hall of Fame in 1984. Billy Thompson was chosen for the Pro Bowl three times during his career. He was also inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame in 1987. This is a special honor for great players.
