Bisaurin (also called Visaurin) is a tall mountain located in the Pyrenees mountain range. It stands on the Spanish side, specifically in the northwest part of Aragon. This impressive peak reaches a height of 2,668 meters (about 8,893 feet).

Bisaurin is the highest mountain between the Atlantic Ocean and another famous peak called the Pic du Midi d'Ossau. From its top, you can see amazing views of many other mountains. These include the Pic du Midi d'Ossau, the Balaïtous, and other central Pyrenean summits. You can also spot Collarada to the east and the Pic d'Anie to the northwest.

Where is Bisaurin Located?

Bisaurin is quite close to the border between Spain and France. It is about 10 kilometers (6.5 miles) west of the Candanchu ski resort. It's also about 22 kilometers (14 miles) southwest of the Pic du Midi d'Ossau.

How to Reach Bisaurin's Summit

The easiest way to climb Bisaurin is from a place called Sansanet. Sansanet is located on the French side of the border. Hikers often start their journey from there to reach the top of this magnificent mountain.
