Blake Camp's Soccer Journey
Early Days and College Success
Blake Camp grew up loving soccer. He even played youth soccer in England. He got to train with some really big clubs. These included Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers in England. He also trained with Real Valladolid in Spain. And Palmeiras in Brazil.
In high school, he was a top player in Georgia. He then went on to play college soccer at Duke University. At Duke, he quickly became a key player. He was named an All-ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) performer multiple times. In 2004, he was part of the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament team.
Blake was also on the Herman Trophy watch list in 2004 and 2005. This award is given to the best college soccer players. He earned All-America honors in his junior and senior years. He finished his college career with 24 goals. He also won the ACC Tournament MVP award in his senior year.
Playing in Development Leagues
Before turning professional, Blake also played in the USL Premier Development League. This league helps young players get ready for higher levels of soccer.

He played for the New York Red Bulls for a couple of seasons. In 2007, he had a tough time. He suffered a broken ankle at the start of the season. After that, he left the team in November 2007.
In 2008, Blake signed with the Atlanta Silverbacks. This team played in the USL 1st Division. He continued his professional soccer career there.
