Story of Secret Missions
The game's story begins after World War II. You meet Captain Robinson, the main character, at an airshow. He starts telling the amazing story of his squadron's secret missions.
Forming the Squadron
The adventure flashes back to a German attack on an RAF airfield. You, as Robinson, must defend it. Here, you meet your first squadron mate, Teach. Next, you and Teach fly to France. You drop off an Allied agent named Marguerite on a train. After that, you destroy many enemy ground and air units.
Later, you join a carrier preparing to attack the Italian fleet. During this mission, Robinson convinces an old friend, Milo, to join the team. The squadron becomes complete when you fly to Cairo. There, you meet a skilled fighter pilot named Thorpe.
Dangerous Missions Around the World
The four pilots work together to stop a huge German bombing attack. They also destroy a German Zeppelin trying to escape. Robinson learns that Marguerite's cover is blown. In Paris, Marguerite discovers this too, with help from her childhood friend, Max, who is a German officer. Robinson flies alone to help Marguerite escape Paris. He stealthily shoots down German fighters and clears roadblocks.
The squadron then reunites in Russia. They help capture a German airbase. Robinson and Teach even steal a German bomber to get its special bombsite. They bomb bridges to help Marguerite and Russian troops escape.
Underwater and Mountain Challenges
The bomber is flown to Sweden. Robinson and Milo test a new defensive weapon there. They get a message from Marguerite. Her submarine is attacked and badly damaged. Robinson finds the sub by tracking its signals. German fighters arrive, so Robinson lures them away. He blinds them with his weapon, making them crash into icebergs. The rest of the squadron arrives to help.
Next, the squadron goes to Moscow to defend it from an attack. They shoot down German bombers and destroy enemy tanks. They also discover a massive "Dora gun" protected by an armored dome. When the gun fires, the pilots shoot through its open doors to destroy it.
Across Asia and America
The squadron then teams up with the Flying Tigers in China. They attack a hidden airbase. Robinson and Milo land and steal two prototype planes. They fly low through a canyon to avoid anti-aircraft fire. They help the others escape.
Low on fuel, they fly to Rangoon. They arrive just as the Japanese invade the city. Robinson is the only one who can take off in time. He quickly destroys bombers attacking the airfield, allowing his squadron mates to take off. They shoot down many bombers and sink enemy ships attacking the evacuation fleet. They destroy artillery, bridges, and oil refineries. Robinson and Teach protect an evacuation train. Milo and Thorpe protect evacuation ships. Both the train and ships escape, but Thorpe is shot down and captured.
Robinson, Teach, Milo, and Marguerite fly a rescue mission. They sink ships guarding a vessel carrying captured soldiers, including Thorpe. Robinson destroys the ship's gun towers and cargo hatch. Thorpe is rescued by an American submarine. While captured, Thorpe learns of an attack planned for San Francisco.
Final Battles and the Superweapon
The squadron flies to San Francisco. They protect the Golden Gate Bridge and the naval port from U-boats launching V-1 rockets. They force the rockets to crash into the U-boat carrier, sinking it.
Next, they fly to the Himalayas. They intercept an aerial convoy. Teach, Milo, and Thorpe hijack a transport plane with secret weapons. Robinson provides cover. However, Marguerite is captured. Max, her friend, helps her escape by sneaking her a weapon. He also sends a message to the squadron.
The pilots find Max fighting German troops. The five pilots protect Marguerite from roadblocks and enemy fighters. They also fight an armored pursuit train until she crosses the border. Max, having betrayed Germany, joins the squadron.
Robinson and Max fly to Rome. They provide air cover for Marguerite as she steals important documents. They learn about a German scientist who wants to switch sides. They plan a rescue. Robinson destroys radar stations. He leads a diversionary attack with Max, Teach, and Thorpe. Milo lands on a lake, and Marguerite goes to rescue the scientist. It turns out to be a trap. The pilots must cover Marguerite's escape back to the lake.
An enormous plane called an "aerial dreadnaught" appears. It has a powerful Tesla coil. It destroys Milo's plane. Max tries to attack it but is quickly defeated. The other pilots disable two of its engines, allowing Milo to take control of it. They protect the captured plane and escape. Sadly, Max is captured and killed by German troops.
The squadron flies to a remote island. They provide air cover for Marguerite as she reaches an enemy facility. While she tries to destroy it, the squadron must shoot down V-2 rockets. They stop the first wave. Marguerite finds out how to destroy the facility, but she's out of explosives. Her men are gone. Robinson, despite his worries, fires on the fuel tanks inside the facility, which is very dangerous for Marguerite. She survives the explosion!
The squadron's final mission is to escort many Lancaster bombers. They are going to destroy a giant version of General Von Kluge's Tesla weapon. The bombers destroy the outer defenses. But the Tesla weapon wipes out the entire bomber fleet. To destroy the weapon, the squadron eliminates ground defenses around each tower. Marguerite then opens the doors to the tunnels holding the generators. Robinson flies into each tunnel and destroys the generators.
After destroying the last generator, the squadron faces Von Kluge in a carrier plane. The plane has a "lightning shield" that only opens to launch new fighters. The squadron destroys the enemy fighters and then the carrier plane, defeating General Von Kluge. The squadron returns home and is disbanded. Robinson offers to take Marguerite on a trip around the world.
How to Play
In Blazing Angels 2, you get to fly many different kinds of planes. For some missions, you might need a specific plane. But most of the time, you can choose which plane you want to fly. You'll control your plane in exciting air battles, shooting down enemies and completing mission goals.
