Bleona Nazmi Qereti (born May 14, 1979) is a talented singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born in Albania and later became an American citizen. Bleona is known for her music and her work in Hollywood.

Bleona's Early Life and Career
Bleona Qereti was born on May 14, 1979, in Korçë, Albania. Her parents are Oli and Nazmi Qereti. She started singing at age 5, joining a group called the House of Pionieri.
When she was 13, her parents wanted her to focus on school. But Bleona loved singing and decided to keep pursuing her dream. At 14, she got her first big role as the lead singer for the Skampa Theater in Elbasan.
Becoming a Star in Albania
After performing at the Albanian National Music Festival at age 15, Bleona became very famous in Albania. She released her first song, "Lermeni (Let Me Be Free)." A year later, she released her first album, Kam Qejfin Tim (I Run My Own Game).
Bleona then went on her first big tour. She performed 25 shows in Switzerland and Germany. She can speak and sing in English, Albanian, Italian, and German. She also studied acting and plays the violin.
Music Success in Europe
From 1998 to 2002, Bleona released four more albums. All of them were very popular in southeastern Europe. In 1999, she performed concerts across Europe for a special tour. This tour helped the people of Kosovo.
Between 2000 and 2001, she performed over 80 concerts in Europe. By 2002, she was headlining big outdoor concerts and festivals. In 2003, Bleona released the album Ti Nuk Di As Me Ma Lyp. It sold many copies very quickly. For the next four years, she toured in places like Kosovo, England, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. She also performed with the rock group, Elita 5.
Moving to the United States
Bleona first performed in the United States in 2004. A club in New York City invited her to sing at Webster Hall. Since then, she has continued to perform in the United States, the Middle East, and Europe.
In 2005, Bleona released her album Boom Boom. It had songs in both English and Albanian. Her song "S'dua" won an award at the "Magic Song Festival Awards." This is like Albania's version of the Grammy Awards. In 2006, she received the "Excellent Career Award." Her eighth album, Mandarin, was released in 2007 and sold many copies. In 2008, Bleona won two more awards for her song "Magnetic."
In September 2010, Bleona moved to the U.S. She met famous producer Timbaland at the Grammy Awards. After talking for a year, they started working on new songs together. Her first English song, "Show Off," came out on September 27, 2010. She also worked with other well-known producers.
In February 2011, Bleona officially became a citizen of the United States.
In September 2012, her song "Pass Out," which she worked on with Timbaland, was released. She toured Europe to promote the song. She performed in cities across Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Germany.
Recent Music and TV Appearances
In 2013, Bleona released her song "Take It Like a Man." This song reached number 7 on the UK club charts. She celebrated by performing at Las Vegas Gay Pride.
Bleona was also invited to perform at the Palm Springs White Party in 2013 and 2014.
In 2015, Bleona was a judge on X Factor Europe. Her song "Take You Over" reached number 3 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
In February 2019, Bleona had her first number-one song on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. This hit song was called "I Don't Need Your Love."

Television Roles
Bleona first acted on TV in 2012 in an episode of Steven Seagal's True Justice. In 2014, she starred in a reality TV show called Euros of Hollywood on Bravo. The show followed her as she worked on her first English album and lived in America.
In 2015, Bleona returned to Albania to be a judge on X Factor. In 2016, she was a judge on Your Face Sounds Familiar in Albania. She also played the role of Nova in the series Paper Empire, which started in 2019. She continued this role in 2020. In 2021, Bleona joined the Albanian reality show Love Story as an opinionist.
