Early Coaching Days at LSU

Bo Davis started his coaching journey at LSU, which was his college. He worked as a graduate assistant from 1995 to 1997. After that, he coached at North Shore High School in Texas. In 2002, he came back to LSU. He was an assistant coach helping players get stronger. He helped LSU win a big national championship in 2003! He stayed with the team until 2005.

Coaching in the NFL: Miami Dolphins

In 2006, Coach Davis moved to the NFL. He joined the Miami Dolphins as an assistant coach for the defensive line. This was his first time coaching in the professional league.

Winning Championships at Alabama

Coach Davis then went to the University of Alabama in 2007. He became the defensive line coach there. He helped Alabama win another national championship in 2009. He left Alabama after the 2010 season.

Time with the Texas Longhorns

From 2011 to 2013, Coach Davis worked with the Texas Longhorns. He coached the defensive tackles for the team.

Back to Alabama for More Wins

After three years at Texas, Coach Davis returned to Alabama in 2014. He coached the defensive line again. He helped the team win yet another national championship in 2015. He decided to leave the team after that season.

Short Stints in the NFL and College

In 2016, Coach Davis worked as an intern for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL. The next year, in 2017, he coached the defensive line for the UTSA Roadrunners.

Coaching the Detroit Lions

Coach Davis returned to the NFL once more in 2018. He became the defensive line coach for the Detroit Lions. He stayed with the Lions until the end of the 2020 season.

Second Time with Texas

After his time with the Lions, Coach Davis went back to the Texas Longhorns. He coached their defensive line from 2021 to 2023.

Third Return to LSU

In 2024, Coach Davis made a third return to LSU. He coached the defensive line for the Tigers again.

Joining the New Orleans Saints

As of February 27, 2025, Bo Davis joined the New Orleans Saints. He is now their defensive line coach in the NFL.
