Bolwarra Heights is a suburb in the City of Maitland in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the eastern side of the Hunter River. This area is about 5 kilometers (3 miles) north of the main part of Maitland.
Bolwarra Heights is mostly a place where people live. It shares its eastern border with the suburb of Largs. The original owners and caretakers of the land around Maitland are the Wonnarua people.

History of Bolwarra Heights
The land where Bolwarra Heights is today was first given to a Scottish settler named George Lang. This happened in 1822 by Governor Macquarie. The Lang family built their home, called Dunmore House, in the 1830s. This historic house is built in the Georgian style. It was constructed using the hard work of convicts. You can find Dunmore House on the road between Bolwarra Heights and the nearby village of Woodville.
