Bonanza is located in the southern part of Clayton County. You can find its exact spot using these coordinates: 33°27′53″N 84°20′15″W / 33.46472°N 84.33750°W.
It shares its borders with Irondale to the north and Lovejoy to the south. Two main roads, U.S. Routes 19 and 41, run along its eastern side. These roads can take you about 4 miles north to Jonesboro, which is the county seat. If you keep going north, you'll reach downtown Atlanta about 21 miles away. If you travel south from Bonanza, you'll find the city of Griffin about 17 miles away.
