The Bosea yervamora is a special kind of plant called a shrub. It grows naturally on the Canary Islands. This shrub can grow quite tall, up to 3 meters (about 10 feet) high! It has thin, greenish branches.
Its leaves are about 7 centimeters (almost 3 inches) long. They are shaped like an egg or a spear and grow one after another along the stem. The leaves don't have any hair on them. The flowers are small and green. They grow in clusters at the end of branches or where leaves meet the stem. When the plant makes fruit, they look like tiny peas. They start out greenish-black and turn pink when they are ready to eat.
