Brad Lester, born on October 24, 1985, is a former professional gridiron football player. He played as a running back, a position where players carry the ball and try to run past defenders. Lester is well-known for his time playing college football at Auburn University.

Early Life and High School Football

Brad Lester was born in the United States to Phillis Miller and Calvin Lester. He grew up in Lilburn, Georgia. For his high school years, Brad attended Parkview High School. While playing football there, he was teammates with Jeff Francoeur, who later became a professional Major League Baseball outfielder.

College Football Career

Brad Lester played college football for the Auburn Tigers. During his time at Auburn, he faced some challenges. For example, he was unable to play in the 2007 Cotton Bowl game. He also missed the first five games of the 2007 season. This was due to concerns about his academic eligibility, meaning he needed to meet certain school requirements to play. Later, Brad Lester also suffered a serious injury during a game against the Mississippi State team.

Professional Football Journey

After his college career, Brad Lester hoped to join the National Football League (NFL). However, he was not chosen by any team in the 2009 NFL draft. This meant he went "undrafted." Despite this, he continued to pursue his dream.

Trying Out for NFL Teams

On August 6, 2009, Lester had a workout with the Houston Texans, an NFL team. This opportunity came after another running back, Jeremiah Johnson, got injured. Teams often bring in new players for tryouts when injuries create openings.

Playing in Other Leagues

In 2010, Brad Lester played for the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The CFL is a major professional football league in Canada. Later, in 2012, Lester signed with the Georgia Rampage. This team was part of the Ultimate Indoor Football League (UIFL), which is an indoor football league. He played for them during their 2013 season.
