Brad Sham's Career in Sports Broadcasting
Brad Sham has been a big part of the Dallas Cowboys team for a long time. He first joined them in 1976. Back then, he was a "color analyst," which means he helped explain the game alongside the main announcer, Verne Lundquist.
Becoming the Voice of the Cowboys
From 1976 to 1981, Brad also worked as the Sports Director at a radio station called KRLD. In 1984, when Verne Lundquist left, Brad Sham became the main play-by-play announcer. He has held this important job ever since, except for three seasons in the mid-1990s.
In 2009, Brad Sham celebrated his 30th year working with the Cowboys. This makes him the longest-serving broadcaster for the team. During his time away from the Cowboys, from 1995 to 1997, he announced games for the Texas Rangers baseball team.

Brad Sham is a member of the Jewish faith. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 1970. His cousin, Cory Provus, is also a sportscaster for the Minnesota Twins baseball team.
