Braian Damián Rodríguez Carballo (born August 14, 1986), known as Braian Rodríguez, is a professional Uruguayan footballer. He plays as a striker, which means he is a player who focuses on scoring goals. Braian currently plays for the Brazilian club Juventude.

Braian Rodríguez's Football Journey

Braian Rodríguez started his football career in his home country, Uruguay. He was born in Salto. His first senior team was Cerro, where he played in the top league of Uruguay. Later, he moved to other Uruguayan clubs like Rentistas and Tacuarembó. In 2008, he joined one of Uruguay's biggest clubs, Peñarol.

Playing in Different Countries

In January 2010, Braian decided to play football outside of Uruguay for the first time. He joined Tigre, an Argentine team. Six months later, he moved to Peru to play for Universidad San Martín. After a short time there, he moved to Chile and joined Unión La Calera.

Success in Chile

In January 2012, Braian joined another Chilean club, Huachipato. This was a very successful time for him. He scored 17 goals in 37 games during his first season. His team, Huachipato, even won the Clausura tournament that year, which is a big championship in Chilean football.

Moving to Europe and Beyond

On July 25, 2013, Braian Rodríguez made a big move to Europe. He signed a four-year contract with Real Betis, a team in La Liga, which is the top football league in Spain.

Later, he was loaned to other clubs. In March 2015, he went on loan to Grêmio, a Brazilian club. He also played for Numancia in Spain on loan. After his time in Spain and Brazil, Braian returned to South America. He played for Everton in Chile and Pachuca in Mexico. He also had a loan spell at Barnechea before joining Juventude in Brazil in 2019.
