Discover Braives: A Belgian Municipality
Braives is made up of several smaller areas called districts. These include Avennes, Braives (the main town), Ciplet, Fallais, Fumal, Latinne, Tourinne, and Ville-en-Hesbaye.
There are also three tiny villages, known as hamlets. These are Hosdent, which is part of Latinne; Pitet, found in Fallais; and Foncourt, located in Fumal.
Exploring Fallais: History and Nature
One of the most famous parts of Braives is the district of Fallais. It's well-known for its amazing medieval castle, which is a very old and impressive building.
But there's more to see in Fallais! You can also visit a historic water mill, which used to grind grain. There's also a former wheelmakershop, where people once made wheels. The beautiful Méhaigne river flows through the area, offering lovely views.
For those who love to be active, there's the Ravel cycling path. This path is perfect for biking or walking and lets you explore the scenic countryside.
