Brandon Lamar Jackson (born October 2, 1985) is a former American football player. He played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He was picked by the Green Bay Packers in the 2007 NFL Draft. Brandon later won Super Bowl XLV with the Packers. They beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in that big game. Before playing professionally, he played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Early Life and Sports
Brandon Jackson grew up to be a talented athlete. He played football at Horn Lake High School in Mississippi. He was named the best offensive player in his state's Class 5A division twice.
In 2003, Brandon helped his high school team a lot. They started the season with five losses. But he helped them turn things around. They made it to the Mississippi State Playoffs that year.
A Star in Track and Field Too
Besides football, Brandon was also a great track and field athlete. He earned awards in track four times in high school. His fastest time in the 100 meters race was 10.6 seconds.
As a senior, he finished sixth in the 100-meter state race. He also helped his relay teams do well. His 4x200-meter relay team finished third at the state meet. The 4x100 relay team came in fourth. In 2003, his 4x400-meter relay team was second at the state meet.
When he went to the University of Nebraska, he kept running track. He competed in the 60 meters and 200 meters. His best times were 6.86 seconds in the 60m and 21.75 seconds in the 200m.
College Football Journey
Brandon played college football for the University of Nebraska. During his time there, he started 11 games out of 33 he played. He ran for a total of 1,431 yards. He also scored 14 touchdowns for his team.
Playing in the NFL
Brandon Jackson was chosen by the Green Bay Packers in the 2007 NFL Draft. This was a big step in his football career.
Green Bay Packers Years
Brandon scored his first NFL touchdown in September 2007. This was during a game against the San Diego Chargers. Later that year, he ran for over 100 yards in a single game for the first time.
In January 2008, Brandon was named NFL Rookie of the Week. This was because of his great game against the Detroit Lions. He ran for 113 yards and caught two passes for 22 yards. The Packers won that game 34–13. In his first year, he rushed for 267 yards and scored one touchdown. He also caught 16 passes for 130 yards.
In 2008, Brandon played in 13 games. He rushed for 248 yards and one touchdown. He also caught 30 passes for 185 yards. In 2009, he ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught a pass for another touchdown.
In 2010, the Packers' main running back, Ryan Grant, got injured. This meant Brandon became the starting running back. He had his best season that year. He ran for 703 yards and caught passes for 342 yards. However, he later shared his starting role with another player, James Starks.
Winning the Super Bowl
At the end of the 2010 season, Brandon and the Packers made it to the Super Bowl XLV. They played against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers won the Super Bowl, making Brandon a Super Bowl champion! In that big game, he caught one pass for 14 yards.
Time with the Cleveland Browns
After his time with the Packers, Brandon signed with the Cleveland Browns. This happened on July 29, 2011. He got a toe injury during the preseason. Because of this, he was put on the injured reserve list. This meant he couldn't play for a while.
In May 2013, he signed another contract to stay with the Cleveland Browns. He played for them until 2012.
After Football: Coaching and More
After his playing career, Brandon Jackson stayed involved in football. In 2017, he worked as an intern coach for running backs with the Green Bay Packers.
Over the next three years, he coached at different colleges. He was a wide receivers coach at Tusculum College. Then he coached running backs at Austin Peay State University. Later, he coached running backs at Southeast Missouri State University.
In 2022, Brandon became the head coach at his old high school, Horn Lake High School. In his first season as head coach, the team had a tough year. They finished with no wins and ten losses.
