The Bras des Angers is a small river in Quebec, Canada. Its name means "arm of Angers" in English. It flows into the Pikauba River.

This river is located in the Lac-Ministuk area. This area is part of the Le Fjord-du-Saguenay Regional County Municipality in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. The Bras des Angers also flows through the northwest part of the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve.

The valley where the Bras des Angers flows is close to Highway 169. Some smaller forest roads serve this valley. These roads are mainly used for forestry (logging) and for fun activities like tourism.

Forestry is the most important economic activity here. Tourism and recreation are also important.

The Bras des Angers usually freezes over from early December to late March. It's generally safe to walk or travel on the ice from mid-December to mid-March.

Where Does the Bras des Angers Flow?

The Bras des Angers is a short river, only about 5.9 km (3.7 mi) long. It starts high up in a forest area and flows downhill.

The River's Beginning

The Bras des Angers begins where two small forest streams meet. This spot is about 430 m (1,410 ft) above sea level. It's located in the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve.

From its start, the river flows mostly southeast. It goes through some marshy areas. The river drops about 20 m (66 ft) from its source to its end.

Where the River Ends

The Bras des Angers flows into a small bay on the west side of the Pikauba River. This is where its journey ends.

From this point, the water from the Bras des Angers joins the Pikauba River. The Pikauba River then flows north for about 34.7 km (21.6 mi). After that, it enters Kenogami Lake.

The water then travels through Kenogami Lake for about 17.6 km (10.9 mi). It then flows into the Chicoutimi River and eventually reaches the mighty Saguenay River. Finally, the Saguenay River flows into the Saint Lawrence estuary near Tadoussac.
