Bret William Iwan (born September 10, 1982) is an American voice actor and illustrator. He is best known as the fourth and current voice of Mickey Mouse. He took over the role after the death of Wayne Allwine in 2009.

Early Life
Bret William Iwan was born on September 10, 1982. He grew up in Pasadena, California. His parents are Bill and Fiona Iwan.
He went to LeRoy High School in Le Roy, Illinois, from 1996 to 2000. Later, he graduated from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. After college, Iwan worked as an illustrator for Hallmark.
Becoming Mickey Mouse's Voice
Bret Iwan was chosen to voice Mickey Mouse after the previous voice actor, Wayne Allwine, passed away on May 18, 2009. Bret had actually practiced for the role before. He had helped when Allwine was having health problems. Bret says that Allwine's old recordings helped him learn how to be Mickey.
His First Mickey Mouse Roles
Bret Iwan first recorded Mickey Mouse's voice for the Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. He also voiced Mickey for the 2009 shows Disney On Ice: Celebrations and Disney Live: Rockin' Road Show. He was the voice of Mickey Mouse in Have a Laugh!.
His first full performance as Mickey Mouse was for the English version of the PlayStation Portable game Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. He also voiced Mickey Mouse in the Epic Mickey video games. You can hear his voice in Disney Parks too. For example, in the Animal Kingdom closing show "Adventurers' Celebration Gathering". He also voices Mickey on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover ride at the Magic Kingdom. When you pass Mickey's Star Traders, Mickey laughs and says, "That's right, it's outta this world!".
