Bret William Iwan (born September 10, 1982) is an American voice actor. He is famous for being the fourth voice of Mickey Mouse. He took over the role after the death of Wayne Allwine in 2009.

Bret Iwan's Early Life
Bret William Iwan was born on September 10, 1982. He grew up in Pasadena, California. His parents are Bill and Fiona Iwan.
He went to LeRoy High School in Le Roy, Illinois. This was from 1996 to 2000. Later, he graduated from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. After college, Iwan worked as an illustrator for Hallmark.
Becoming Mickey Mouse's Voice
Iwan was chosen to voice Mickey Mouse in 2009. He replaced Wayne Allwine, who had passed away. Iwan had already practiced the role. He had filled in when Allwine was not well. Iwan says Allwine's old recordings helped him learn the voice.
His first recordings as Mickey were for Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. He also voiced Mickey for the 2009 shows Disney On Ice: Celebrations and Disney Live: Rockin' Road Show. He then voiced Mickey in Have a Laugh!. His first full performance as Mickey was for the English version of the PlayStation Portable game Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. He also voiced Mickey in the Epic Mickey video games.
Iwan's first voice work in a Disney Park was in the "Adventurers' Celebration Gathering" show. This show was at Animal Kingdom. He also voiced Mickey for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover ride. On this ride, Mickey laughs and says, "That's right, it's outta this world!"
